"Our #American forebears must really think it quite odd,
That in this great nation we dare not even mention our #God!
The One who so generously blessed this graced land,
is now considered herein as contraband!
What atheistic Communism was unable to do,
Has now been methodically accomplished by the ACLU!
God is not to be even mentioned in public discourse,
An injunction our courts will readily enforce!
A public display of the #TenCommandments is strictly forbidden,
Any wonder our cities and towns are increasingly crime-ridden?
Our children are barred from #prayer in their schools,
Even a moment of reflection breaks all the rules!
"#God Bless You!" are words that cause great unease,
Unless someone, conveniently, comes out with a sneeze!
Whatever happened to "One #Nation Under God?"
Have we existed 250 years as a religious fraud?
As we celebrate this day of our national independence,
Might there be a resurgence of a spirit of reverence?
The religious #liberty for which our forebears bravely
fought and died, Has now been so quickly and easily pushed aside!
As we commemorate this proud day of our nation's birth,
Mightn't we stop to give praise to the One who created this Earth?
Would a nod to Our #Heavenly Father be out of the question,
As we deal with our #4th of July indigestion?
For it seems that the separation of #Church and State,
has become more important to us than our eternal fate.
Let us re-dedicate ourselves as an American nation this day,
As a people who believe, and a people who #Pray!
So before the last burst of fireworks lights up the skies,
Pause and give thanks to the One who gave you your eyes!"

Once again it appears that Michigans GOP has gone south to help any candidate that they feel may not have a chance. Lone Republican candidate James D. Hopper running to unseat Rashida Tlaib, I’m sure could use some financial support. We will forever be stuck with this moron, unless something changes or term limits,
Not counting on term limits, Congress and the Senate will never vote themselves out of their position/power.
