Golfing during a market meltdown isn’t a middle finger to middle America, it’s a middle finger to the world. It’s just business as usual while the rest of the world begs for a meeting. After every hole, he was on the phone fielding calls from panicked presidents. The feeling around the world is — “I can’t be the last one to reach a deal with Trump, because if I'm the last one, then I'm the one who’s getting screwed.” The people you hear complaining about the trade war are foreign countries and American companies who outsource to foreign countries. Trump basically said we had to knock using slave labor and sweatshops, and Democrats and Wall Street are crying about the price of flat screen TV's. And the pundits crying on CNBC are the same ones happy to shut down the entire economy for a virus with a 99% survival rate. Trump almost died campaigning, and if he lost, Democrats were going to put him in prison... dropping stocks don’t scare him. He feels like he’s on a mission to save the nation in his last term. Doing the right thing isn’t always easy, and he warned us it wouldn’t be... but like they say— no pain, no gain.
